Call to include Kashmiris in talks

By Amanullah Kasi

QUETTA, March 31: A leader of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front has said that durable peace in South Asia is not possible without recognising rights of freedom fighters.

Speaking at a function organised to observe the 17th death anniversary of Kashmiri freedom fighter, Ishfaq Majid Wani, here on Saturday, Sardar Rauf Kashmiri, chief of his own faction of the JKLF, said representatives of the Kashmiri people should be included in the negotiation process between Pakistan and India for resolving the dispute.

He asserted that the Kashmiri people were the main party in the conflict and the ongoing dialogue between Islamabad and New Delhi would be meaningless without participation of the political leadership of the Kashmiris.
