MUZAFFARABAD, March 30: Students of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir University held a demonstration here on Friday in protest against a university official whom they accused of committing blasphemy.

They alleged that Col (retired) Abdullah, deputy director of student affairs, had passed indecent remarks about Milad-un-Nabi on Thursday.

A source in the university told Dawn that Mr Abdullah had denied making blasphemous remarks. The university has, however, removed Mr Abdullah from his post till a probe into the allegations by a committee is completed —Correspondent
