SWABI, March 29: A security official of the Tarbela Dam committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan at his home here on Thursday. Hawaldar Ahmad Khan, originally from Gujarat, Punjab, was living in the River View Colony of Tarbela Dam.

His sons said when their father did not come out of his room for breakfast on Thursday morning, they went to “wake” him up.

As they opened the door, they found his body hanging from the ceiling fan.

They said their father was depressed after the death of their mother four months ago.
