ISLAMABAD, March 28: A batch of 115 Pakistani immigration detainees will arrive at the Islamabad International airport by a special flight from Spain on Thursday, official sources said here on Wednesday.
The deputy director of the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA’s) Passport Cell, Junaid Sultan, confirmed that the Pakistani deportees were arriving but declined to provide further details.
The special flight, with 115 Pakistani immigration detainees aboard, is expected to touch down at the Islamabad airport at around 11.30am on Thursday, the source said.
The Pakistani deportees, guarded by Spanish security officials, will be handed over to the FIA authorities after their arrival.
Earlier, two separate batches of Pakistani illegal immigrants —one comprising 42 persons, while another with 40 people— had been deported to Islamabad in October 2006 and February 2007.
