KARACHI, March 28: A grandson of Pir Pagara, chief of the Pakistan Muslim League-F, was booked on Wednesday for injuring three security guards during an attack on the house of his stepmother in Defence House Authority.
Darakhshan police said Abu Bakar Shah, son of Pir Sibghatullah Shah better known as Raja Sain, and his men reached the house of Imran at Khiyaban-i-Saba around 6pm and opened fire. They said three private guards sustained bullet wounds.
The injured were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where they were identified as Wazir Mohammed, 34, Noor Mohammed, 32, and Jawaid, 35.
Hospital sources said Wazir sustained bullet in his left thigh, Noor Mohammed in his abdomen and Jawaid received a bullet wound in his left arm.
The police said a case against the grandson of Pir Pagara and others was registered on the complaint of Imran, the father-in-law of Raja Sain. Pir Pagara, the spiritual leader of Hurs, had earlier said that his son Pir Sibghatullah Shah had disinherited his four sons in 1994 for their involvement in criminal activities.
His statement to this effect appeared in the press following the arrest of one of his grandsons, Omar Mustafa Shah, on Jan 25 in a land occupation and attempt to murder case.
According to him, Raja Sain had disinherited his four sons, Rashid Shah, Abu Bakar Shah, Osman Shah and Omar Mustafa Shah and gave them their share from his moveable and immovable property.
