KARACHI, March 28: Four ships carrying containers and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Eastimed Carrier to load cement, APL Jabel Ali and Harmony to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed included Athos-1, External Diligence, MCan Bay, Diler-4 and Pacific Arrow, while Harmony, APL Jabel Ali, CGM Ebony, Al-Wajba and Islamabad are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 60,743 tons comprising 18,223 tons of export cargo including 2,654 tons of rice and 2,773 tons of cement and 42,520 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Raban to load 14,200 tons of rice, Soon Fu, Iran Hesabi and Oel Aishwarya with containers.
