KARACHI, March 27: Eight ships carrying general cargo and containers and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Caribbean Emerald to unload cars, Athos-1 to offload and load containers, African Robin to unload and load general cargo, Sanie to load rice, Eternal Diligence and Mcan Bay both tankers were berthed.

Six ships, Mol Ability, China Star, Comorin Pride, Yick Zao, African Robin and Caribbean Emerald departed on Tuesday, while Athos-1, Mcan Bay, Diler-4, Pacific Arrow and Eternal Diligence are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 76,731 tons comprising 36,700 tons of export cargo including 4,041 tons of cement and 40,031 tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: African Pal to load 17,000 tons of cement, C.C. Ebony, Oel Esteem, Soon Fu, Hyundai Sprinter, Kota Perkasa and Al-Wajba with containers and Malak-1 with general cargo.
