Inter-club tennis

KARACHI, March 26: The inaugural All Pakistan Inter-Club tennis tournament commenced at the Karachi Club courts on Monday with 13 outfits including four out-station, also fighting for honours.

The draws were taken out in presence of officials at the venue before the commencement of the event. The teams have been drawn into four groups and the winners of each will advance into the last four.

The match between Modern Club and CDGK was in progress at the time of filing this report.

Groups:

‘A’: Pakistan Air Force (Peshawar), City District Government Karachi (CDGK) and Modern Club.

‘B’: Karachi Club ‘Blue’, DHA Club, Mirpurkhas Gymkhana and Avari Towers.

‘C’: DHA Creek Club, Karachi Gymkhana and Quetta Club.

‘D’: Karachi Club ‘Green’, Pakistan Marine Academy and Hyderabad Gymkhana.

Tuesday’s fixtures: (matches starts at 6pm).

CDGK v Modern Club, Karachi Club ‘B’ v DHA Club, Mirpurkhas Gymkhana v Avari Towers, Karachi Gymkhana v Quetta Club, Pakistan Marine Academy v Hyderabad Gymkhana.
