KARACHI: 12,000 tachers to be trained


KARACHI, March 26: The Professional Institute of Teacher Education has organised a six-week teachers' training programme at Elementary Colleges of Sindh. As many as 12,000 primary teachers will be imparted training. Programme Coordinator Shahid Hussain Mughal along with focal person Shahnawaz Sehto on Monday visited three institutes including the Government Divisional Educational Technology, Police Centre, Qasimabad, the Government Elementary College of Education, Qasimabad, and the Government Elementary College of Education for Women, Hussainabad.

Shahid Hussain stressed the need for teachers' training. He listened to their problems during the training and gave assurance for their redress.

It may be mentioned here that, 32 such centres have been established in Sindh, in which 1,280 teachers are under training. — PPI
