Shrine land occupied

DERA GHAZI KHAN, March 25: Thousands of kanals of Sakhi Sarwar shrine land have been occupied with the alleged connivance of officials of the Auqaf and revenue departments.

MNAs Jafar Khan Leghari and his wife Ameena Jafar Leghari alleged this while talking to newsmen here on Sunday. The couple also demanded a high-level inquiry into the matter.

They alleged that officials of Auqaf and revenue departments were allegedly facilitating land-grabbers in the area. They said necessary proofs to support their claim had been sent to the Auqaf secretary.

It may be mentioned that Sakhi Sarwar union council nazim Malik Ilahi Bukhsh was booked on the charge of grabbing land while dozens of others are still at large.

Ilahi Bukhsh is said to be a close associate of district nazim Maqsood Khan Leghari.
