KARACHI: Hunger strike by PPP-SB activists

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, March 25: A large number of PPP-SB activists observed a token hunger strike outside the press club here on Sunday demanding immediate arrest of the killers of Mir Murtaza Bhutto, founder of the party.

The activists included Azeemul Nabi, Liaquat Shah, Dhani Bakhsh, Ghulam Ali, Hussain Gopang and Munawwar Bokhari.

They said that the prime accused, ex-chief minister Syed Abdullah Shah, be arrested now when he had come out of hiding. They also criticised the government for promoting certain government officers nominated in the case. They warned of a countrywide campaign if all those involved in the case were not arrested and punished according to law.
