KARACHI: NED students to gain industry exposure


KARACHI, March 25: NED University of Engineering and Technology is working on arranging internships for students in related industries to increase real world exposure.

This was announced by the institution’s Director of Industrial Liaison, Prof M. Naim Ansari, on Saturday.

He said that the purpose of the exercise is to enhance the utilization of engineering knowledge and provide the students some awareness of practical work in the industries before the completion of their studies.

He said that the internships have been arranged in two sessions -- summer and winter. The summer internships are planned from June 4 to July 14.

In this regard, the industries have been asked to consider utilizing the services of a few individuals or suitable groups according to the discipline from the third year students.

The students are available from the disciplines of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer and Information System Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, Urban Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Textile Engineering, Architecture and Planning and Telecommunication Engineering.—APP
