LAHORE, March 24: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not yet received any request from the Jamaican police asking for any help in the murder case of coach Bob Woolmer.
Woolmer was found unconscious in his hotel room, on Sunday, a day after minnows Ireland stunned Pakistan, making their exit from the World Cup.
Later, Woolmer was pronounced dead at a Jamaica hospital. On Friday, the police declared his death as a murder case.
The PCB Chief Operating Officer Saleem Altaf said on Saturday there were reports that Jamaican police wanted help from England, South Africa and Pakistan to come to any conclusion in Woolmer’s murder case.
“Like you I also received that news but there is nothing in writing from them (Jamaica) and of course the PCB will help them out if they make a contact,” Saleem stated.
According to an e-mail sent by Woolmer to PCB the chief on the day of his death, he had made up his mind to retire from international coaching after the World Cup.
