Rs400m for Pindi locality uplift

RAWALPINDI, March 24: The Punjab government has approved a grant of Rs400 million for the expansion of Sadiqabad Chowk and other development projects in the constituency PP-14.

Fiazul Hassan Chohan, member Provincial Assembly told APP the other day that major portion of the grant would be used for the expansion of Sadiqabad Chowk and adjacent Transformer Chowk. He said that expansion of the chowk would help in smooth flow of traffic and facilitate thousands of commuters. Chohan said that starting expansion work was the need of time as roads from this chowk leads towards Airport, Murree Road and Highway. He said that demolition of shops has already been started and compensation amount would be handed over to shops owners soon.
