Balochistan lawyers observe token boycott
QUETTA, March 24: Lawyers on Saturday observed a token boycott of court proceedings in the provincial capital and district headquarters of the province to protest against the suspension of Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.
The boycott in Quetta, Sibi, Pishin, Loralai, Khuzdar and other towns was observed from 10:30am to 11:30am. The protesting lawyers demanded withdrawal of orders making the chief justice non-functional.
Five lawyers also observed a token hunger strike in the district Bar.
