HYDERABAD, March 24: Sindh lawyers, after a day’s break due to a national holiday on Friday, resumed on Saturday protest against the ‘suspension’ of the chief justice of Pakistan and police violence against the lawyers of Quetta.In Hyderabad, lawyers observed one-hour token boycott of court proceedings. Besides, over one dozen lawyers, led by Qazi Abdul Sattar and Fazl Qadir Memon, observed token hunger strike outside the judicial complex.
DADU: Lawyers continued protest and observed token hunger strike outside the district court complex. They were led by former Sindh law minister Pir Mazharul Haq and District Bar Association president Shafi Mohammad Memon.
NAWABSHAH: Lawyers continued boycott of court proceedings for one hour and observed token hunger strike.
MIRPURKHAS: Lawyers boycotted court proceedings for two hours and observed token hunger strike on the premises of the district and session court.
NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: Lawyers in Naushahro Feroze, Moro, Kandiaro and Bhirya boycotted court proceedings for one hour. In Naushahro Feroze, lawyers, led by Sindh Bar council member Ghulam Mohammad Abbasi, took out a rally from the district court to the local press club.
