Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, March 24: Nine ships carrying steel, chemical and coal are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where 11 ships, Al-Wakra, Pacific Arrow to load cement, Oirent Independence, Iran Hasabi, APL Dalian with containers, Yaad-e-Muhammad with general cargo, Port Stanley, Oriental Bouquet, Chemstar Brave, Sea Glory and Shalamar, oil tankers were berthed.

Sailing was also active as nine vessels, Iran Baabei, Kota Gunawan, C.G. Victoria, Hyundai Pride, Ivan Makrin, Chemstar Brave, Oriental Bouguet, Asia Queen and Iran Hesabi left the port.

While Corin Thaikos, Port Stanley, Orient Independence, Bunga Delima, Sea Glory, Al-Wakra, Shalamar and Nordwoge are due to sail out on Sunday.

A total tonnage of 0.121m tons including 67,616 tons of export cargo and 53,036 tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The following vessels are due on Monday: Eternal Diligence to load 16,500 tons of naphtha, Gallant Wave, Mol Ability, Iran Sattari and China Star with containers, Diller-4, Vancouver Victory with 83,000 tons of coal, African Robin with steel and M. Oan Day with chemicals.

The following ships are due on Monday: Athos-1 with containers and Caribbean Emerald with 238 cars.
