KARACHI, March 24: Three ships carrying containers, crude oil and chemicals were accommodated berths at QICT, Fotco terminal and EVT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Meanwhile, three more ships with containers, chemicals and LPG also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy fell to 50 per cent as five ships, CSAV Ningbo, Storm Ranger, Regent, Liquid Success and Feng Shann Hai, were busy in loading and unloading containers, sunflower seeds, crude oil, chemicals and coal.

A cargo volume of 79,865 tons comprising 58,615 tons of import and 21,250 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as IBN Sina and Denden left the port while CSAV Ningbo, Liquid Success and Feng Shann Hai were due to depart.
