Mobile service

CAIRO, March 24: Etisalat of the United Arab Emirates will launch Egypt's third mobile phone service by May 1, the head of the operation said on Saturday.

Etisalat, which paid $2.9bn for its licence last year, had originally planned to start operations in Egypt during February, but it has faced problems setting up masts. “Etisalat is intensifying efforts to overcome the problem of setting up towers and stations for the network,” said Etisalat executive Saleh al-Abdouly.—Reuters
