Horse and cattle show ends

MULTAN, March 23: Scores of families enjoyed the concluding events of the three-day spring festival and horse and cattle show on Friday night. The spring festival was held on Abdali Road and the horse and cattle show at the Qasim Bagh Stadium.

The horse and cattle show concluded with a prize distribution ceremony and a fireworks show.

Senator Javed Ali Shah, Adviser to the Chief Minister Hafiz Iqbal Khakwani,

District Nazim Mian Faisal Mukhtar, town nazims Shaukat Hayat Bosan, Mian Jamil and Diwan Muzaffar Hussain Bukhari, DCO Iftikhar Babar were present at the concluding ceremony at Qasim Bagh stadium.

Officials watched Multan losing a Kabaddi match to Faisalabad by 11-13, Mir Hassan Leghari jumping over 10 cars twice, camel and horse dances and other programmes. The students from Muslim High School also presented ‘Dachi’ dance on the occasion.

Children showed keen interest in a remote-controlled plane that landed perfectly on the uneven and grassy ground of Qasim Bagh after taking a few rounds over the stadium.

The district nazim distributed prizes among the participants of the agriculture machinery exhibition and advised farmers to adopt modern means and techniques to enhance their productivity. — App
