PPP-S vows to fight for people’s rights


PESHAWAR, March 23: Pakistan People's Party (Sherpao) provincial general secretary Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao on Friday said that the PPP would continue to promote democracy and fight for the rights of the oppressed people.

Addressing a public gathering at the Sherpao village in the Charsadda district, he said that they had never compromised over the rights of the oppressed classes, Pukthuns and made all-out efforts for the resolution of their problems.

“Our party’s sole motive is the uplift of masses and we will offer sacrifices for their cause,” he said, adding that the PPP taken practical steps to defend the rights of Pukhtuns while other parties were only provided lip-service. The party’s manifesto was based on addressing people’s grievances.

On the occasion, ANP leaders Nisar Khan Katozsai, Khalid Katozai, Bashir Katozai, Inam Khan and JUI-F leaders Mohammad Hamayun, Wasiullah, Hidayatullah, Sabihullah, Inayatullah, Rahamdad, Mukhlis, Raza Khan and Haroonur Rashid announced joining PPP-S.

They reposed full trust in the leadership of federal Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao and Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao.—APP
