PESHAWAR, March 22: The Awami National Party (ANP) has announced its support for the March 26 strike call of the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD). In a statement issued by Zahid Khan, central information secretary of the party on Thursday, said that ANP workers would full participate in the strike call given by the ARD.

He said that the ANP would support every move aiming to restore the dignity of the judiciary in the country.

He said that they would also support the struggle being carried out for restoration of democracy in the country by different political parties.

The statement said that the ANP had never supported any dictator in the country and would do the same in future.

The party, he said, had struggled against dictatorship and was not in the habit of bowing before military dictators.

The ANP, he said, would maintain its record of opposing the dictatorship and the party’s workers would take part in the protest call of the ARD.
