‘90 gas field workers sacked’

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, March 22: The leader of opposition in the Balochistan Assembly, Kachkol Ali Baloch, has claimed that 90 Bugti tribesmen working on Sui gas fields have been sacked.

Speaking during a session of the assembly on Thursday, he said Balochs were being deprived of their share in government jobs.

They were being victimised for raising voice for their rights, he alleged.

Mr Kachkol said Balochistan was rich in resources and the federal government collected huge revenue from Sui gas fields but local people were being denied jobs in the gas company.

He said the Balochs had no representation in the judiciary, army and important federal government departments.

He urged the government to ensure justice to the deprived nation.
