THATTA, March 21: Deputy leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly Makhdoom Jamiluzzaman has predicted dissolution of assemblies and worst-ever constitutional crisis in the country courtesy General Pervez Musharraf’ s wish to serve his personal agenda.

At a press conference here at the press club on Wednesday, he

prayed that the assemblies should complete their tenure adding that the general would attempt to use the forum to get himself re-elected and the People’s Party has decided not to compromise and resign en masse from the assemblies.Criticising the opposition leader Nisar Khuhro, he said, he was not satisfied with his performance that's why the chief minister often uses slanderous language against the women legislators of the Sindh Assembly.

He said the local bodies system has miserably failed which has authorised the local waderas and feudals to accumulate their own assets at the cost of development.

He said by giving a free hand to waderas, who are a curse for the society, the government had virtually isolated the poor and common people.

He said the state mechanism was being ruthlessly used to convert the Sindhis into a minority and pave way for an ethnic party to grab power in Sindh. Elaborating, he said, bogus votes were registered in Thatta, Badin, Hala and other parts of Sindh and NADRA was assigned to prepare bogus identity cards of illegal immigrants, including Bengalis and Biharis in these areas.

He condemned the slow pace and inferior quality work of Thatta-Sujawal road resulting into an increased number of casualties.
