11 injured as trailer hits wagon

LAYYAH, March 20: Eleven people sustained injuries, three of them serious, when a trailer collided hit a passenger wagon near Chowk Azam Road here on Tuesday.

According to eyewitnesses, a trailer, going from city to Chowk Azam, got out of control due to break down of its tie rod and hit the wagon. Police arrived immediately on the spot and shifted the injured to the DHQ Hospital.

The injured include Shafi, Abdul Razzaq, Syed Asghar Husain, Ghulam Farid, Bilal, Akram, Nawaz, Saifullah, Jalaad Khan, Shair Khan and Aziz Bibi.

DHQ hospital doctors said Shafi, Razzaq and Asghar Husain were referred to Nishtar Hospital, Multan, due to critical condition.

The relatives of the injured complained that the hospital ambulances were not available as they where out of city to shift patients.
