KARACHI, March 19: Three ships carrying containers, diesel oil and chemicals arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday. Berthing activity was smooth as three ships were accommodated berths. A total of eight ships, Samia, CMA CGM Tulip, Denden, Shujaa-III, Chemstar Seven, Emerald Park, Word Majesty and Vassos, were busy in loading and unloading containers, wheat, edible oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 49,786 comprising 26,465 tons of import and 23,321 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were brisk as Samia, Tulip, Chemstar Seven, Emerald Park, Panagia and Tia Prosperity left the port.
