Police claim foiling terrorist plot


KOHAT, March 18: Police claimed to have foiled a terrorist plan to blow up a bridge on the Indus Highway on Sunday.

A press release issued here on Sunday said that the district police officer, Khalid Mahmood, had been tipped off that unidentified terrorists had planted explosives close to the Jarma bridge on the Indus Highway. He constituted a team headed by additional superintendent of police, Akhtar Nawaz.—Correspondent
