Robbers bag foreign currency

SAHIWAL, March 18: Unidentified bandits looted cash and valuables worth over Rs1 million in three different strikes on Sunday.

Eight armed men barged into the house of Sardar Najeeb in Chak 133/9-L, held the inmates hostage and locked them in a room. Later, bandits fled after collecting valuables worth Rs0.8 million, two guns, a pistol and seven mobiles.

The same bandits also looted valuables worth Rs165,000 from the house of village headman Abdul Rehman and Nazir Ahmed.

Three gunmen entered the United Bakery, made hostage all those present, gathered Rs212,000 in cash, 500 dollars, 300 Saudi riyals and escaped from the scene.
