Teams mourn Manjural before game

PORT-OF-SPAIN, March 17: India and Bangladesh observed a two-minute silence before their World Cup match on Saturday as a tribute to Bangladesh player Manjural Islam. Players from both sides stood facing each other before the start of the Group B match at Queen's Park Oval.

Left-arm spinner Manjural died following a motorbike accident back home on Friday.

The 22-year-old bowler had been among the 30 probables for the World Cup. —Reuters
