KARACHI: Sculptures on display

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, March 17: Noted sculptor and artist Anjum Ayaz on Saturday put his new sculptures in stone on display at Hindu Gymkhana. The two-day exhibition opened in a casual manner as the renowned artist spread some 21 sculptures in the outer space of the Hindu Gymkhana without arranging any function for its formal inauguration.

“It is open for all, the public for whom I create these monuments,” Mr Ayaz told Dawn.

According to him, the exhibition would conclude on Sunday (today) after which those creations would be sent to The Hague, the Netherlands, where they would be put on display at an international exhibition.

Mr Ayaz’s sculptures are on public display in Tokyo, Beijing, Dubai and other cities of the world.
