SA help for Ireland?

Published March 17, 2007

KINGSTON, March 16: The Irish team, in a bid to surprise Inzamam-ul-Haq’s Pakistanis on Saturday, have used their South African connections to gather useful information and videos from Proteas coach Mickey Arthur. Besides their South African born coach Adrian Birrell, the Irish have seven players connected to South African cricket and the links have been used adroitly.

"We have gathered some useful information from the Proteas and have analysed all the five matches Pakistan played in South Africa and that could be of great help," said Birrell, who sat with Arthur after the two teams played a warm-up match at Trinidad last week to gain more knowledge about Pakistan.— Agencies
