KARACHI, March 16: Five ships carrying containers, wheat, diesel oil and iron ore were accommodated berths at QICT, MPT, Fotco and IOCB during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.Meanwhile, another container ship also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy was maintained at 80pc as nine ships, IBN Battotah, Xiang Wan, Shujaa-III, Nordnerptune, Panagia, Tai Prosperity, Sinar Agra, Vassos and Capt George-L, were busy in loading and unloading containers, wheat, diesel oil, fertiliser, seeds, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 0.110 million tons comprising 0.099m tons of import and 0.011m tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Al-Soor-II, Sinar Agra, Capt George-L and IBN Battotah left the port.
