Port Qasim

KARACHI, March 15: A record cargo volume of 0.110 million tons comprising 0.100m tons of import and 0.010m tons of export tonnage was handled during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Three ships carrying containers, chemicals and diesel oil were accommodated berths.

Meanwhile, three more ships to load wheat and unload furnace oil and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy rose to 80 per cent as eight ships, Aurora, ACX Tsubaki, Shanghai, Al-Soor-II, Panagia, Tai Prosperity, Sinar Agra and Capt. George-L, were busy in loading and unloading containers, edible oil, diesel oil, fertiliser, seeds, chemicals and iron ore.

Sailing was active as Aurora, ACX Tsubaki and Shanghai left the port while Al-Soor-II, Sinar Agra and Capt. George-L were due to depart.
