BD willing to import wheat

KARAHCI, March 14: A two-member Bangladesh delegation has shown its keen interest in importing around 200,000 tons of wheat from Pakistan. The Bangladeshi team led by Abdullah al-Amin during a meeting with Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) Chairman Abdul Malik here on Wednesday expressed their the desire to meet their country’s wheat shortfalls from imports this season.

During the meeting both sides expressed their desires to expand bilateral trade relations. A detailed discussion was held in areas of mutual interest.

The TCP chairman briefed the delegation about the quality of Pakistani wheat as well as availability of its surplus stocks during the current year for export.
