Lucky Leader should claim days’ honours at KRC
KARACHI, March 13: Four-year-old bay colt, Lucky Leader, is tipped to thwart challenge from opponents by claiming the feature event in the Gymkhana race meeting at Karachi Racecourse on Wednesday.
The colt has shown consistency by finishing on the board in the last three runs and his present form suggest that he should run away with the honours.
Filly, Foolish Pleasure and mare Smiling Face enjoys an edge over others in a field of 18 barring last minute withdrawls and may pose stiff opposition.
This is the top division race of class VII to be gone over five-and-a-half furlongs.
A card of seven races has been drawn for the day. The first race starts at 1pm.
Princess Rozi, a seven-year-old bay mare, is poised to pick up spoils in the sixth and supporting event which has 17 acceptors. She should be chased by Sweetie Pie and Sweet Saba for the places.
Three-year-old bay filly, Be Jamalo, who lost to Canon Ball in a close finish on March 1, should dominate the div III class VII race which has 12 aspirants in fray.
Three horses — Moment To Moment II, Sonia and Meri Paidagire – are likely to put up a good show.
Six-year-old bay mare, Silent Love, who posted a facile four lengths victory over Breaking News in her last outing is expected to make it two on trot. However, if tried, Jan-e-Mun who has come down in handicap can emerge victorious.
Chestnut Lucky View and mare Jet Zone should make amends by landing the opening two races while Captain Cook should repeat his winning feat.
