KARACHI: Banh-Beli election

KARACHI, March 13: MNA Gul-e-Farkhanda has been unanimously elected as the president of the Banh Beli for the year 2007-2008.

At the biennial elections, she was elected for a two-year term to head the 15-member executive committee of the NGO, which has been working in Tharparkar arid region for 22 years and is also active in parts of rural Sindh and Balochistan.

She has contributed over Rs30 million from the MNA quota of development funds for the electrification of over 25 villages in Tharparkar.—APP
