KARACHI: Another aircraft added to SAI fleet

KARACHI, March 13: Shaheen Air International, the second national carrier, has acquired its fifth Boeing 737 aircraft, which arrived at Karachi Airport on Tuesday.

A spokesman for the airline Farooq Nasir Khan said that with the induction of the new aircraft, the airline was aiming to expand its existing operations within Pakistan and the Gulf countries and also intended to bridge smaller cities with the major cities across the country.

He said the airline with the acquisition of new aircraft was initially expecting 130 flights per week, throughout its domestic and international network with a potential of 60,000 passengers every month.

He said three additional Boeing 737s had also been purchased that would arrive in Pakistan within a few weeks.—Staff Reporter
