Four die on road

VEHARI, March 12: Four people, including two women and a girl, of a family died in a road accident on Monday near Tibba Sultan Pur. Reports said the family was going to Jahania from Duniyan Pur by a motorcycle (6236-MLE) when near Chak 160/WB a Bahawalpur-bound Daewoo bus (9806-LZJ) hit the two-wheeler. As a result, Waris Ali, Zahida Bibi, Farzana Bibi, and a six-year-old girl, Rabia, were critically injured and died on the spot.

The bus driver fled from the scene after the accident.

Ziaullah, a duty officer at Tibba Sultan Pur police station, told Dawn that as the relatives of the victims did not want to get a case registered, the police took no action.

The bodies were handed over to the relatives, he said. — Correspondent
