SSGC asked to rectify mistakes

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, March 12: The Balochistan High Court on Monday asked the management of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) to take corrective steps in all cases involving wrong billing. The court’s division bench — comprising Chief Justice Amanullah Khan Yasinzai and Justice Akhtar Zaman Malghani — also ordered the utility not to disconnect supply of gas to consumers who were yet to pay their dues owing to excessive billing.

The court did not accept the gas company’s contention that wrong bills had been issued because of a computer system error and remarked that computer results depended on human input.
