KARACHI: Emergency centres set up in all towns


KARACHI, March 12: The City District Government Karachi and all 18 towns have alerted their staff to cope with civic issues caused by rains. Korangi Town Nazim Muhammad Arif Khan Advocate, Naib Nazim Muhammad Asghar Qureshi and TMO Dr Mukhtiar Palijo visited all union councils of the town and reviewed work. The town has set up an emergency compliant center with phone number 5075522. Leaves of all staff of the town have been cancelled.

The Gulshan-e-Iqbal town had also announced emergency. It's compliant center with phone number 9230355-9 has been made operational for round-o-clock.

Town Nazim Muhammad Wasay Jalil and senior officials visited the Main University Road and other areas.

Jamshed Town Nazim Muhammad Arif Ajaikia also visited various areas of his town and supervised cleanliness work. All departments of the town were alerted for expected rains.

In Orangi Town, Nazim Abdul Haq and other senior officials visited various union councils of the town where cleanliness, de-watering and spraying work was in full swing.

In Landhi Town complaint center with telephone number 5035729 is working round-o-clock. Acting town nazim Dr Irshad Ahmed is co-ordinating measures.—PPI
