Rs500,000 stolen from bank

SARGODHA, March 10: Four armed men took away around half a million rupees from Allied Bank at Chaudhry Zaraullah Chowk on Saturday afternoon. An eyewitness told this correspondent that the youth entered the bank at about 1pm. Two of them overpowered gunman Haq Nawaz and hit him in the head with the buts of their weapons. Their accomplices beat up three other employees who closed the door of cash room, collected half a million rupees and escaped on a Suzuki Cultus in the presence of hundreds of people.
