KARACHI, March 10: Seven ships carrying chemicals, containers and to load rice are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Ora Bhum, Eric G. Gibson, Orient Independence to unload and load containers, Oriental Sun to load rice and Red Sea Spirit to load cement were berthed after the departure of two.
The ships, which departed included Conti Esperance and Asari, while Alex-D, Oel Esteem, Kuo Chang, Orient Independence and Yu Lin Wan are due to sail out on Sunday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves showed a modest rise at 93,075 tons comprising 41,245 tons of export cargo including 3,783 tons of cement and 51,830 tons of import tonnage.
The following ships are due on Sunday: Zayed, to load 12,000 tons of rice, Wadi al-Rayan, Soon Fu, Independent Spirit, Aka Bhum and Wan Hai-303, with containers and Bow Clipper, with chemicals.
The following ships are due on Monday: Al-Maqwa, with high speed diesel, Gulf Bridge, with containers and Caribbean Carrier to load 21,500 tons of cement.
