Four get death for killing cop

KASUR, March 9: An anti-terrorism court sentenced four people to death on Friday for killing a constable and injuring an assistant sub-inspector in a robbery-bid in Mustafabad last year.

Muzafar from Qadarabad, Shahid from Mustafabad and Tariq and Khurshed from Sarhalee Kalah killed constable M Iqbal and injured ASI M Aslam during crossfire.

ROAD DEATH: One child died and six others were injured in a head-on collision of a van and a rickshaw on Multan Road bypass.

Irshad Bibi, her four-year-old son Shafique and other passengers were traveling on the rickshaw. The speeding van struck it leaving Shafiq dead and his mother Irshad and five others injured.

Police registered a case against the van driver.
