SIALKOT, March 9: The Daska civil judge granted on Friday pre-arrest bail to six PML-N leaders in a three-year-old case.

The court had issued on Feb 27 non-bailable warrants for their arrest for not appearing before it. The court had ordered the Daska police to produce them on April 4.

According to the FIR registered by Bambaanwala police, they had a clash with a police party which stopped them from going to Lahore to receive PML-N president Mian Shahbaz Sharif in 2004.

The accused are MNA Khwaja Asif, former MNA Sahibzada Syed Iftikharul Hasan Shah, former MPAs Idrees Ahmad Bajwa, Manshaullah Butt, Ashfaq Wyne and Shujaat Ali Pasha.

Meanwhile, two motorcyclists snatched gold ornaments, cash, electronics and other valuables worth thousands of rupees from the family of local trader Tufail Mughal near Sehjo Kala village, Motra, when they were on way to Lundi Kotli village.

ACCIDENT: Two members of a family were killed and five others, including two women, injured in an accident between a car and a truck near Glotiyaan village, Daska, on Friday.

The over-loaded and speeding truck (MMD-4596) hit the car which was going to Gujranwala from Daska, killing Ilyas and Safia Khalid, residents of Gujranwala Model Town, on the spot and injuring four other members of the family, Ms Shehzadi, Ms Afshan, Qaisar Iqbal and Mohsin.
