Businessman shot dead

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, March 9: Gunmen shot dead a businessman at his office here on Friday, police said. Three armed men killed Syed Anwer Abbas and injured his assistant before fleeing on motorcycles, District Police Officer Abdul Rashid told AFP.

Mr Abbas, in his 60s, was a dealer in agricultural machinery, but his brother Moodi Shah was a Shia activist and a former mayor, another police official said.
