KARACHI, March 9: Three ships carrying containers and crude oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Mol Silver, Fern, Conti Esperance to unload and load containers, Chitral to offload general cargo and Yu Lin Wan, tanker.Sailings on the other hand were active as seven ships departed after unloading and loading cargoes. They are: Iran Shahryar, Pu He, Mol Silver Fern, Swat, Pacific Arrow and Victoria, while Ikal, Conti Esperance, Esteem, Yu Lin Wan, and Orient Independence are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total volume of 73,465 tons comprising 33,540 tons of export cargo, including 1,252 tons of rice and 39,925 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The ships due on Saturday are: Shalamar, with crude oil, Kuo Chang, and Ever Govern, with containers.
