Tribal elder killed, 16 hurt in blast

QUETTA, March 7: A tribal elder was killed and 16 people were injured when a bomb exploded in the Sui bazaar of the Dera Bugti district on Wednesday.

An official of the Sui police station said the device planted on a motorbike was exploded by a remote-control near the vehicle of tribal elder Wadera Mohammad Bux. The blast occurred at 11:30am.

Wadera Shah Mohammad was killed. The injured included Wadera Mohammad Bux, Wadera Elahi Bux, Abdul Sharif, Sangat, Maounj Ali, Shahid, Arshad, Faqir Bux, Raiz Mohammad, Darya Khan, Shah Hussain, Nuruddin, Noor Jehan and Azim Khatoon.

The injured were admitted to the PPL hospital.
