ISLAMABAD, March 6: The Indus Refinery Limited has clarified that it is in the process of relocation of Oakville Refinery owned by PetroCanada and has not purchased a refinery from Caltex-Chevron.
Commenting on a Dawn report, it said the refinery was second-hand but not obsolete, adding it “was operating at full capacity till the close of sale in May 2005”. As such, it does not require any “major refurbishment jobs, except minor engineering design work for reinstallation of equipment and machinery” in Karachi.
