Probables named for U-19 trial ties

LAHORE, March 6: The national junior cricket selection committee has summoned 34 probables to appear in trial matches to finalise the Pakistan Under-19 team for next month’s tour of Australia.

The probables will report at the National Cricket Academy on Thursday. The schedule of the matches will be announced later.

Probables:

Batsmen: Ahmed Shahzad (Lahore), Shan Masood (Karachi Urban), Sharjeel Khan (Hyderabad), Junaid Malik (Lahore Ravi) Ali Jawwad (Karachi Harbour), Asad Baig (Karachi Harbour), Asad Zahid (Rawalpindi), Umar Ameen (Rawalpindi), Zahid Iqbal (Islamabad), Saadullah Ghauri (Lahore Ravi), Usman Salahuddin (Lahore Ravi), Zeeshan Mushtaq (Islamabad), Adeel Ameen (Peshawar), Ahmed Iqbal (Karachi Urban), Ali Waqas (Faisalabad), Ali Haider (Lahore Ravi), Zaman Jamil ( Sialkot), Taimur Ali (Quetta).

All-rounders: Yasir Hussain (Karachi Harbour), Kamran Hussain (Islamabad), Mohammad Laeeq (Faisalabad), Aimal Khan (Quetta), Immad Wasim (Islamabad).

Spinners: Shahzaib Khan (Karachi Urban), Saad Nasim (Lahore Ravi), Mustafa Iqbal (Lahore Shalimar).

Wicket-keepers: Gulraiz Sadaf (Multan), Jamal Anwar (Rawalpindi).

Fast bowlers: Zaheer Abbas (Karachi Urban), Junaid Khan (Abbottabad), Mohammad Rameez (Rawalpindi), Mohammad Aamir (Rawalpindi), Rahatullah (Peshawar) and Rahat Ali (Multan).
