Rams score close first win

KARACHI, March 6: Fine bowling by Babar Naeem and Akhtar Ayub inspired Rawalpindi Rams to a thrilling eight-run victory over Interloop Wolves Faisalabad in the ABN-Amro One-day Gold League Cup at the NBP Sports Complex here on Tuesday.

Babar claimed four for 31 with his part-time slow left-armers and paceman Akhtar took three for 44 as the winless Wolves crashed to their fourth successive defeat after being all out for 217.

Earlier, Usman Saeed struck eight boundaries in scoring 95 off 121 balls to help the Rams make 225 for eight.
